I only saw a narrow range of options, none of which really appealed. So I extrapolated, and bent the rules a bit. I went back in time a few hundred years, and went a little fantastic. End result, the mediaeval equivalent of a Laboratory is a Wizard's Tower! I don't have Poser, so I have no human figures to manipulate. Therefore I chose a long distance shot. I think with the glowy flashy magic and the moonlit castle, it came out very effectively. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: A simple tower, the most complicated part was the windows. I found a tree object and repeated it a few times. Then I placed stars in the sky. Taking those star objects I reduced them in size, then removed about 2/3 of the cluster. I repeated them four times and altered each one's colour, then jiggled them around a bit. Applying illumination and glow effect, that was my magical sparkles. The wizard is basically a cardboard cutout, meant only as a silhouette. And that's it. :-)
