===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Interesting idea, and the photo reflection is a good bit of technical trickery, but I think it gets lost amongst the lamp and other objects. ===== From hgregory3@aol.com: Technical - Impressed with the picture reflection. (is that a print out of a POV file on the desk?) Nice drinking glass (very realistic). Concept - There is a contrast of sorts. ===== From steve@neurotrain.com: A 17 T 12 C 20 Excellent concept (that's why you get the 20) I upped the tech score when I realized how you did it. I thought you had rendered the image with the "old" photo and simply used the reflection as a texture. However, there needs to be more detail in the background (the wall is a solid piece of wood - next time make 15 or 20 "planks") and the table (make it looked less than brand new) The crossstitch is nice, but very plain - my sister does this as a hobby and they are always a least three colours and have patterns on the border Finally, the artistic score is not perfect because I think it would have been way more cool if you had reflected an old lamp and a different cross stitch as well. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Some good work here. The shape of the lamp is interesting. I like the sampler. The glass looks nice too, with the light shining through it. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good "cross stitch" effect. ===== From hfventer@ing.sun.ac.za: Maybe its just me, but I didnt notice the reflected immage till I read the description. Its not central enough to the immage to make it stand out. Once you notice it, its quite good tho :)
