===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: How can u tell he's old? ===== From klynn@uswest.net: Great-looking image. Not much 3D modeling involved, though. ===== From sammy@cube.net: this one is hard to judge. How much comes from the original photographie? How much from you and the raytracer. Still : I like it much. ===== From steve@neurotrain.com: A 20 T 20 C 20 Perfect - I have nothing else to say about the image. You breezed over the modelling very quickly, I would love to know how you did the hair so perfectly. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Interesting in a technical sense but for some reason this just doesn't do it for me. (I wish I could be more specific than that, but I just can't put my finger on anything.) Definitely different than the typical ray-tracing. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good work, highly convincing. Hardly seems like a rendering at all. Real contrast. ===== From hfventer@ing.sun.ac.za: Technically very tricky. Well done ===== From fabien.mosen@skynet.be: It seems this image doesn't bring anything more than the original photograph would do. Also, please give more information about the creation process, especially the source of the original photograph (to acknowledge the original autor, even if you don't have permission to use the work). ===== From file: Although the final image is nice, I feel it relies a bit too much on the photo you took from the book that you mentioned. Also, you really should have gained permission to use the photo as per the IRTC guidelines. Putting that aside though, I feel that you could have perhaps done a little more work on the hair (which looks like it's suffering from MAX's smooth bitmap resizing - losing a lot of detail)
