===== From tlyons@gnn.com: nice cat ===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: Great. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: The reflection of the cathedral in the windows really makes this image. So do the mouse and the cat watching it. And the irregular flagstones... The attention to detail is brilliant, really. My only serious worry is the sky. It's too green at the horizon and too blue overhead. ===== From hgregory3@aol.com: Artistic - For a first entry, nicely done. A very beautiful plaza scene. Technical - A lot of good work, good notes (from which others can learn.) Concept - A contrast of sorts. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: I like this scene very, very much. The 'contrast' seems ironic, the 'natural' element being represented though a man-made construct also. I wish there was just a little more sense of atmosphere but I marked it very high. ===== From steve@neurotrain.com: A 15 T 18 C 15 Very nice picture. Unfotunately, what I see as the key element of the image (the sculpture) is lost a bit in the background. I think if you had moved the camera closer and had the sculpture take up more of the image it would work better. The cat is a nice touch. Technically very good. The trees are very good, the time you spent tweaking them out was worth it. The points we lost because of the unrealistic concrete texture. Also, I noticed the garbage on the stairs, I expected more of the same type of stuff elsewhere on the ground. Concept is good. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: An interesting interpretation of topic, but to me using a man-made sculpture to illustrate the difference between nature and man-made structures seems to defeat the purpose. The sculpture looks good, though, and the trees look nice. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Excellent attention to detail, such as the positioning of the flagstones and their stains. Good trees, too. And a very good contrast between the flowing molecule form and the hard-edged architecture. ===== From hfventer@ing.sun.ac.za: Great lighting! The contrast between the building, the sculpture and the trees are great.
