===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: Who's winning? ===== From steve@neurotrain.com: A 12 T 13 C 8 The artisitic mark was hard to give because, at first I thought the transparent things were the missles and the lego were boats. You shouldn't be penalized for my thick brain, but on the same token as the artist it is your job to make the picture clear to the viewer (rarely fo you get to add a text file for clarity). The layout of the two missles in the foreground adds to the confusion, as the contrail(air wake) of the crashed one looks an object that is about to hit the flying one. Technical: the picture is good, however due to the relativly few objects you had, I personally expect those objects done very well...the splash of the fallen missle doesn't seem to exist, and the air wake look too simple and are incorrect. Concept. Unfortunatly, I saw no clear indication of contrast. I understand the idea of toys used in the act of war as a contrast, but that is not what I see. At best I interpret a child's imagination at work... ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: I can't grasp the scale here. Are these ships supposed to be full-sized, and the contrast is that they are somehow made of gigantic Legos? Or are they normal-sized Legos, and the contrast is that the missiles are pencil-sized? Maybe you could add a rubber ducky or an ocean buoy to establish the scale of the scene. ===== From hfventer@ing.sun.ac.za: Its a bit hard to distinguish the crashing missile at first. If it were farhter back or more prominent, it would have been better.
