===== From : For the trees, I would suggest Gilles Tran's Maketree. I also remember that minaret towers have doorways leading to the balconies. The boats take up enough image space to require more detail. ===== From batronyx@cadronhsa.com: Very thoughtfully executed. Apart from the mosque itself, I particularly like the trees. ===== From tony@awmcs.net: An impressive scene. Your people look really good for their simplicity. To get nit-picky the bumps pattern on the image is a bit too pronounced. Add some anti-aliasing or reduce the power of the pattern. ===== From marlo.steed@home.com: Very grainy looking, harsh shadow,... but nice detail ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: As usual, the amount of detail here is impressive, and the scene has a nice feel to it. The people work well here as a small detail which fleshes out the scene, as do the boats. The trees look rather solid and molded, more like they are made out of clay than natural objects (but still a lot better than any trees I've ever managed to make!) Overall, a job very well done. ===== From ojamies@cs.helsinki.fi: Great modelling, with better textures this would be one of the best. ===== From jsimpson@acm.org: would benefit from some use of atmosphere effects to make the image more naturalistic and less architectural ===== From mwsny001@mweb.co.za: I like the shoes! :) ===== From tom@tomandlu.co.uk: Good modelling, but let down by texturing and lighting. Try a sunset. The main mosque texture is very grainy at the moment. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: There is a charming sense of careful modelling and some subtle choices of camera angle and sky. It gives a sense of caring re-creation of the scene instead of tromp l'oeil illusion. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Great modelling work, composition looks very nice too, but there is a lot of free potential for improvement of texturing. ===== From youknow@ucan.foad.org: The textures combine to give the image a painted look rather than a photographic look -- not a bad thing, even if you did not intend it. I like that the background is not empty as too many images tend towards. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: Ontology: Everything is illusionary. It appears real, but is only a reflection. A starting point is required, and by judgement of comparison, all other things fit into place. But there is no necessity for the initial concept, and the image dies as it begins to come to life. Axiology, and epistemology: It simply is brought into being, which means that value comes only as established, but (again, and again!) is not necessary because of the thing in itself. What need is there for this image? The final image is succint, and the method is sincere, but you are dabbling all the same. It is very close, but still is elusive of impetus. ===== From file: Wow, great work with modeling the mosque. Textures are not very good and the whole thing looks more like an architechtural flyby. Notable for modelling ===== From file: Wow, great work with modeling the mosque. Textures are not very good and the whole thing looks more like an architechtural flyby. Notable for modelling
