===== From : I'd like to see more detail, and the stained glass might be helped with a normal in the texture. ===== From batronyx@cadronhsa.com: The radiosity came out great! The camera angle is a bit wide though, skewing the structure at the corner of the scene, but you probably already noticed that. :) ===== From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu: Nice, though doing some volumetric effects with the light coming through the window would have kicked this up a level or two. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: There's some good work here, and the scene has a lot of potential. I especially like the stained-glass window. Most of the objects look good, although the candle flames could use a little work. The scene really cries out for more complex textures, though, especially the walls, floor, and the stones around the main window. (Personally, I would add a strip of carpet running up the center of the aisle, too.) Also, are you using anti- aliasing at all? Using a setting of 0.1 should help clear up some of the jaggy edges. Overall, though, this is very nice as is... I just think a little additional work could take it to a whole new level. (If you ever manage to find the time, that is!) Looking forward to seeing more work from the artist. ===== From tom@tomandlu.co.uk: Very nice window - I sympathise with the family commitments. Some more detailed texturing on the walls would go a long way in improving the image. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Nice picture, the lightig looks realistic as it is, but radiosity may have helped too. ===== From youknow@ucan.foad.org: For some reason, possibly because I associate this type of stained glass with well-decorated Catholic churches, it seems a bit plain. Still, adding much more could easily have ruined the effect, drawn the eyes away from the central image. Possibly what it needs is a slightly (but not too much so) closer focus on the stained glass, which is itself well done. ===== From albiaprime@aol.com: Artistic: Very nice! Your room looks very realistic Technical: Great job on the stained glass window. I was going to enter a similar scene but got bogged down on the window. Bravo to you! Concept: Fit the topic PS I too thought there would be a lot of churches etc, strange how this round turned out. My mosque, like your scene, is one is not as common as one would have thought!!! ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: Epistemology: Axiology: Ontology:
