===== From : Wow. Where did you get the image_maps? ===== From batronyx@cadronhsa.com: Excellent job of 'aging' the stones. Almost photographic. The lighting appears to be a little close for outdoor lighting though. ===== From tony@awmcs.net: A decent structure but the surfaces seem to bright for an object that has been sitting around for hundreds of years. I would expect the textures to be smoother the edges to be rounder and the color to be much faded. The little guys in the image are a nice touch. ===== From d_chappell_link@hotmail.com: I think the 'gritty' appearance of this image is great. Always like renders that are done so well they don't shout '3D!'. ===== From marlo.steed@home.com: Nice image... quite realistic... but not quite there... hard to say why, the textures are great... maybe it is the lighting... ===== From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu: WOW!! That is a fabulous image. You have captured the look of those old watercolors. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: The temple looks great, and the ground is nice. Not sure about the background, though... it looks interesting, but is it supposed to be sky or a huge slab of weathered concrete (which is what it looks like to me, but doesn't seem to make sense within the scene)? The scene overall is very impressive, though. ===== From tom@tomandlu.co.uk: A lovely image - the sky is an interesting choice, like an oil painting. However, it does look out-of-focus up-close. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Reminds me somehow of ancient colorized photographs, the bump mapping is quite strongly visible. ===== From youknow@ucan.foad.org: Is that meant to be an endless wall behind the bulk of the ruins? A larger landscape or a close-up shot would likely have worked better. ===== From albiaprime@aol.com: Artistic: Very attractive scene Concept: Well, a rather crumbled place of worship. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: Epistemology: I am sure it was well known within the Egyptian culture before that point, but the reason so many discoveries were made famous is because they were 'exotic' and foreign. The idea of the 'dark continent' and it's strange rituals and objects seemed worshipped. Is this what worship is in your scene? Axiology: We own what we discover, since we define what it means. Ontology: There is a clear distinction between the finders and the found. We can imagine ourselves like them, but still realize that the relation is looking downward, and we have to come back 'up' eventually to one's native culture. ===== From file: Notable for modelling ===== From file: It really looks like a painting; I like it very much. Notable for textures, modelling ===== From file: great job, all is very good, excelent atmosphere, fine homage to Sebek and Haroeris, congratulation. Notable for lighting, textures, composition, modelling, originality ===== From file: Notable for lighting, textures, composition, modelling, originality ===== From file: Notable for lighting, textures, composition, modelling, originality ===== From file: A winner. Notable for lighting, textures, composition, modelling ===== From file: This is great! I'd have gone for a finer sand texture, because it looks really hard, but I love the ruined temple!
