===== From kingofmycastle@gmx.net: Poor guy. ===== From htkra1d@hotmail.com: Nice one. Enough said. No bad things, and that hostage looks damn real ;-). ===== From extrememarinerfan@home.com: The detail in this picture is excellent! ===== From PovRayGuy@aol.com: Good stuff! ===== From jaimevives@mixmail.com: Great! That bricks are excellent! :) No, really, they look better than any other I've never seen. The wood is also very nicely textured. And the light is simply perfect. Another touch is the good use of the Poser model. But I would have prefered a more darker ambient on the shadow parts (to enforce the theme ambient). ===== From ZenPsycho@yahoo.com: Very nice.. powerful image. ===== From youknow@ucan.foad.org: The cracked walls and floor are very cool. I like the lizard; it's a wonderful touch. I think perhaps the light coming in from the top is a bit too cheerful and bright. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: The image was better before I read your text file. "Rebel forces"? Why would rebels own a prison (the design is not a converted house or building, but specifically a prison)? Why would rebels hold a tourist? It is more likely that the person is a political prisoner, i.e., someone who has cause trouble for a government in some way or another. Also, expatriots are less often in prison than locals - something to the tune of 99.9% nationals. The same analysis could be given to the rest of the badges you offer your prisoner, but you are only covering all bases, allowing the viewer to come up with his or her own interpretation. In this case, it would have been better to be generic or abstract in your text file, since that would more accurately reflect the contextual ambiguity of your image. But, to add critique to criticism, there is no necessary relation to the theme in the image. A fortress implies a dialect between the internal and external world with a struggle to get from one place to the next. The prisoners gestures signify resignation, and there is no indication of what is keeping him there, just that he is there.
