===== From elias@users.sourceforge.net: Not artistically appealing to me, and on a below average technical level - you get some extra points for extra objects though. The story behind this is somewhat orignal. ===== From tony@awmcs.net: Your zip file might have been rejected because it was too big. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: I am not sure how many faries you know, but I have not met any. Maybe I need to get out more. . . To emphasize the areas of the picture, try darkening the darks and lightening the lights for more contrast. . . the composition seems a bit muddled because of the monotone. Good work with the theme, though I wonder if fantasies are reserved for mythical creatures. If you are worried about covering sexual-oriented areas, do not be. It is more insulting (in my mind) to have conspicuous cloth than the nudity, since the cloth is censoring, and does not add to the image. However, Poser's non-anatomically correct objects are annoying, too. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Definitely an interesting concept, and impressive for a first entry. The faeries look very nice, and I like the lighting effect on them. The chairs look nice, and the blood-smeared doorframe and banister are a nice touch. Lighting is very effective. Keep working on your modelling skills, but remember that good textures are even more important. (The ones you use here aren't bad at all, but perhaps a touch simple.... well, actually I think it would have helped to have gone with thinner stripes on the wallpaper... but hey, if you want to see some bad texturing choices, check out my first entry into the competition ::grin::) Overall, a very solid piece of work that shows a great deal of potential... looking forward to seeing more work from the artist. ===== From file: good one for the first try, i like a lot the idea and the poem.
