===== From dooby@breathemail.net: The ghost effect is good ===== From elias@users.sourceforge.net: Artistic Merit: I like it. 14/20. Technical Merit: Some extra points for the additional objects. I also like the effect of the transparent person. The cyclops and dragon models also are very nice, they look very smooth. My overall feeling about texturing and lighting is not that good. About the darkness, I didn't take it into account that much, because I let it to a brightness +100% filter in PSP before judging.(My monitor only showed black else.) The problem I believe is more than just too light/too dark. If this was a real scene, and you would look at it, your eyes or even your brain would adjust the darkness. But not on a computer generated picture on your monitor. But ask someone else about details - as I said, I just lit it up. 13/20 technical points. Concept, originality, interpretation of theme: Very original to me. ===== From Rob_E@godmaterial.com: Blender rules!! ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: LOL ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: Good work with a dull thematic interpretation. . i.e., fantasy is not Gygax's imagination. I guess it goes to show how social individual fantasies can be, however. To get a good "final" image, it helps to sketch out completely abstract compositions (no relation to anything real or to any story, but just a group of lines in space). Once you find something you like, try to imagine what camera angle can imitate that composition. It becomes somewhat of a problem when lighting is taken into consideration, but Raphael did much of his work with lighting alone. And it is too dark. I was not able to tell what the creature on the left was until you said. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Cute concept... well thought out and implemented. Nice job getting the ghost to look as good as it does, but to me it looks a bit more like a futuristic translucent robot than a ghost. The scene is a little dark for my tastes, but not overly so, considering the (presumed) intent of creating the equivalent of an underground cave or a poorly-lit dungeon. ===== From file: nice approach, the model of the dragon is very simple. The scene lacks something... it_s very static (like some focus, each monster is looking to some other place, such as they are bored..)
