===== From jonathas@ifi.uio.no: I really like the board here - the bevelling goes a long way to making it more realistic, IHMO. I think the single spotlight gives the image an outdoors feel, maybe radiosity and/or multiple spotlights and deep shadows would give more of a war-room intensity? Great image! ===== From higginsdj@bigpond.com: Nice but too cluttered - no centre of interest ===== From james@imperiumglobal.com: try to work on your lighting some more to give it some atmosphere. quite original. ===== From philip.chan@home.com: You did a pretty good job with the texturing for the marble countries and the water. I would have liked to see more detail in the models of the pieces, particularily the battleships and the aircraft carrier. ===== From dan@sypher7.com: Creative and pleasing to look at. Very well done. ===== From lrwii@joplin.com: The planes don't show up well against the marble. Looking at you scene for awhile produces eye strain. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: I don't think Europe looks realistic here, but who cares... it looks great (and more artistic than Europe normally looks, I think.) Nice scene overall, and a good interpretation of the topic. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good work. I like the all-encompassing wide-angle camera viewpoint. Not having played (or even seen) A&A, I cannot comment on the realism of the image. Good technique to create the countries. ===== From tm-ray@consistent.org: I like the concept, and the modelling of the pieces looks good. The metal texture looks slightly off, although I can't explain how exactly. Shame about having to use stone textures off the 'net, but they did come out well. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: I played Axis an Allies in college for a while, but one of my roommates was on a quest to find out if there were a way to win if you started out with Japan. He spent a whole semester staying up until 2:00 am trying to figure it out. Anyway, the water is a little off-setting. . . more reflection would help. The picture is hard to understand visually. There are too many non-essential areas, such as the marbling and beveling of the countries. Pulling the camera out a bit might solve the crowded feel of it. ===== From r@client121041.atl.attbroadband.com: Notable for modelling, textures
