I like the concept. I entried one that is simular. Mine 
they where perparing for battel. In your they are 
batteling. So why not show how one bacterium kills 
another?

Nice use of color and glowing effects.  Not sure how 
well the concept comes across within the scene itself.

The glowing textures came out well, but I'm having trouble
understanding quite what I'm seeing.  The bacteria look like they're
mitosing, not fighting.

Good description of the image creation.  I like the color patterns, too.

The problem with random patterns, such as sprays, is that you do not have much
ability to control the visual aspects of the image.  

For instance, the central area from bottom to top looks somewhat like a
building, and it is difficult to emphasize (or de-emphasize) that impression.
