===== From philip.chan@home.com: You've managed to create a very interesting look in the scene. One thing that struck me was how the star molds look a little like fireworks. I wonder if you can use something similar to what you've done for the mold the create fireworks? ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: I like the color scheme used here. The purple objects look pretty cool. I think I would like this scene better if the dividing line between the two groups of bacteria were less straight... more of a zigzag? ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: This is the most realistic of the "micro" images in this competition. ===== From tm-ray@consistent.org: I'm hardly an expert, but it seems the molds ought to be significantly larger compared to the bacteria. The slide effect/background are excellent. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: Looks like somewhere in the metaphase of mitosis, rather than a war. Are we to understand that are you the person responsible for selecting the topic? It is interesting to realize that I had objections to the topic before 9/11, which involved more than just two of the WTC group's towers. If it were just the WTC towers, then there would not be the same national concern . . . It seems to me that if we are such fine people, it would be fair to assume that we like fine things, fine images, and fine topics. I find that the history of IRTC images does not show this. . . to be more accurate, though, I find that there is a wide range of ideas and images, varying from crap to fine. I think this topic has been a turning point for me. I still plan to enter the contest every round, but am not expecting anything wonderful (beautiful) to flourish except for more than briefly. Note the topics for the last 4-5 rounds have revolved around the fantasy role-playing (video games, too) mentality. This is fine for someone to pick up if they like the genre, but it has very little value beyond that genre. In terms of Art, IRTC has hobbled itself. Maybe this is intentional, and it may even be democratic, but it certainly will not validate IRTC in the long-run. Out of respect for the fine people who participate in this contest, I think the topics could be dealt with more carefully.
