It could be a whole different world... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: I'm out of time again ! (I'd have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for that pesky short month!) Houses, Fences, Garages - hand edited CSG Hedges - a hand-built box mesh as the basic shape, then run through Warp's mesh compessor to generate a .PCM file. Finally used Chris Colefax's hair macro to give the box a layer of fine green hair (from a distance, it looks like a passable hedge) the topiary T-Rexes - similar to the hedges, except the original mesh is a DXF exported from s-patch, and the default PCM hair didn't look right, so I replaced the hair object with a small sphere. Children - Blob People (with custom costumes/props) Toy Pistols, cardboard box fortress, garden gates, greenhouses. - fairly simple CSG, built with Calimax then edited for use as an include file. Trees - made with Giles Trans' MakeTree include files. These are actually the same as the tree I used in my "Temple" image in the Spirit Of Asia round. GreenHouse plants - originally intended to be tomatoe plants, but aren't quite right (no tomatoes for one thing!) but at least they make the greenhouses look like there's something in them. background city - a last minute rush. a loop scatters a set of randomly sized/shaded boxes with a quilted normal pattern applied in an attempt to suggest windows - comes out looking like something knocked up in the 1960's... Overall, I'd have to regard this as unfinished :-( There's a lot more stuff I'd like to have added to the gardens (vegetables growing in the garden with the green houses, someone on a ladder trimming the t-rexes, etc. ....) also, the houses could use some more work (satellite dishes, TV arials, curtains...) I am quite happy with the overall look of the image though. Thanks, Alun.
