===== From tom@tomandlu.co.uk: Seems a bit off-topic, but good work all the same. ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: Very nice image, good use of isosurfaces :) BTW, I can't really see the "ghost". There's some very faint marks above the centre crypt, but they might just be the media. Maybe I'm not looking close enough! ===== From matt@alledora.co.uk: It's stunning, but I can't see the theme in this image... oh, but I wish I could do stuff like this. ===== From topher@csh.rit.edu: I definitly like this image, even without the last part, the stained glass is great. But how does this fit the topic? ===== From jjaguar@worldnet.att.net: I don't see the ghost. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: Hehe... I see you've found out how 3D rendering can manage to make any computer seem slow. :) One thing you might want to watch for is Windows using virtual memory when it isn't needed. Rendering time went from 60 PPS to 3 PPS when Windows did that with my machine (Athlon 1700 XP, 256MB DDR RAM), and the peak memory used figure was less than 128MB. Back to the scene though. You've created a finely detailed scene (which is why I suspect your peak memory used figure is probably pretty high). It's too bad you didn't have time to render the stained glass window as the scene isn't really complete without it. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Nice atmosphere and lighting here. The design on the front of the sarcophagus looks a bit odd, with just the edges showing up so well. Also, the colored light on the floor looks pretty solid and bright, as if it is painted on the floor instead of light from the window (which I'm assuming is the case). Very nice scene overall, though. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: The stone blocks are superb. The scene has a nice coherent atmosphere.
