        Good idea for the story.  The room as far as we can see looks quite
bare.  At least the Christmas lights help add to some warmth, but they do not
appear to be on except for in their reflections.   I also have trouble
understanding the text you have placed on the window.  
        P.S.  did you know that the letter _e_ that intersects the snowman_s eye
is making him look very mad?  Would you want to let this guy in your house?
