JPGFILE: dlasbow.jpg ZIPFILE: dlasbow.zip RENDERER USED: Pov-Ray for Windows v3.1 TOOLS USED: Spatch, Hamapatch and Photoshop(for conversion to jpg) RENDER TIME: 06h 30m 44s HARDWARE USED: Pentium 200Mhz IMAGE DESCRIPTION: It was love when we first met and now that you have gone far away I feel so very lonely. It was not long ago that you left me with so much pain to bear. As I look outside the window to the carriage's wheels turning heavily on the snow, life must go on. But what of our dreams to be together, to be living happily ever after as a fairy tale that becomes real? Broken glasses, shattered dreams. Now that you are gone, I fear the decaying of a winter's wrath upon that innocent leafless tree beyond the yonder as I lay here motionless with the last breath of winter... - Epilogue of a rose DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: A sketch is made first for visualising. All models are made in Spatch using primitive objects, extrusion, lathing etc. The finished Spatch models are exported to Hamapatch to apply the textures. Most of the textures used are a combination of brick, agate with finishes. The snowfall texture of tiny white flakes is done by placing a rectangular box behind the big window. It uses Clear from the colors.inc and agate with a finishing of a great specular. The white breeze from the crack of the window glass is a Clear(texture) spiral-like Spatch model. The rendering(600x800 at anti-alias 0.3) uses two light sources. There are 13762 frame levels to this image and its pov file stands at 6.36megabites zipped to 833kilobites. :O)
