There are places where the winter ist long... very long, and cold. In this
endless night meet me in the Iglu at the ight of the oil lamp.


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 

some heightfields for the hills.
a isosourface as a rock wit snow on it.
some bumps everywhere on the snow, iglu and the water.
some fog and layer texture in the sky.
the moon is a imagemap on a sphere.
The Iglu consists of rings cutted of a sphere with gaps by CSG.
