DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: In the beginning I had a complete snow coveres forest viewed through a window with icicles hanging from it's frame in mind. But due to the fact the recursive macros that should have created my little forest stalled my whole system (although I set the rendering process to the lowest possible priority) and took a little bit too long for my usualy almost eternal patience, I decided to leave it out. Since it took me more than two month (I actually hadn't much time for rendering then) I had to leave out the window, too. Leaving the icicles and a snowplane. I then thought about placing a little snowman into my snowplane, but that didn't word because it just didn't want to appear together with my snowplane. The icicles were created from a blob of cylinders that grow smaller as farther they get to the bottom and put into a macro that places them next to each other using random numbers for length and distance between each. The snowplane is an simple isosurface (now I think I would have done better with a more simple heightfield) and just lies lazy on my little planet The sun is a very distant sphere with a lightsource within and containing a light emitting media. The atmosphere and clouds are also spheres containig light scattering media
