===== From houston_roadrunner@yahoo.com: A nice but simple scene that makes me think of a well keep desert palace and recent visitors. ===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: There is something about close-up shots that wrecks the mood of loneliness. Step back a bit. ===== From : The landscape in the background could use some more work. It was hard for me to figure out the story by the image. But don't get too worked up about not being 100% satisfied, it's a learning process. ===== From MarkNitschke@gmx.de: the artist's description is good, but it's hard to find that idea in the picture. ===== From awilcox@dreampeach.com: I think this would be a very good image if the stairs were not so smooth. They're too much in shadow for the normals to be visible. I can see more of the texture you intended on the the columns. You can always add dim shadowless lights in key places to bring out more details to shadowed areas. ===== From beighton155@yahoo.com: Good idea, tho i would have personally liked to see more in thepicture. The rocks in the background are not very realistic in the way they join, maybe a blob object or a nurb plane would work better? ===== From novotek@web.de: looks a little bit like "riven". ===== From dapigg2000@yahoo.com: I get the title and it's application to the topic, I don't get the topic's application to the pic. People left behind a ball? Ball is lonely? It works. ===== From rclee@oklahoma.net: Good textures, another liht on the ball would help. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Not bad. A scene like this is very difficult to light correctly. The = models are pretty simple (primitive); they could use more physical = detail. For example, the edges of the steps should not be razor-sharp. = The sphere seems to be reflecting a white sheet that is just out of = camera range on the right. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: I have trouble mapping the scene to loneliness or being left behind. If more clues were added, it may have worked better for me. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The object gives me more the sense of being accidentally left behind than being discarded (which would give a stronger sense of loneliness). Maybe some imperfections would help to create this sense. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Not bad for such a simple scene. Textures could use some work. Lighting works well here, I think. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Just a pointless glassy ball to me.
