===== From awebb@trans-tec.co.uk: This has a nice feel to it. Like the staggering camera angle. ===== From henry@unforgettable.com: wow, v nice picture. wish i could afford maya! you don't mention in your description how you did the neon signs, they're v nice. ===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: Inclement weather always adds to the gloom of isolation. ===== From : I like this image, but I admit there should be some snow on the roof of the diner at least. The falling snow also needs to go under a tweaking revision. One last thing that has my curiosity, is why would you use a multi thousand-dollar rendering engine, yet still be using MS-Paint for texture work? ===== From awilcox@dreampeach.com: A little snow on the room and telephone poles might complete the scene. Nice glow around the sign. ===== From beighton155@yahoo.com: I like this image, but in order to express loneliness more i would have made the diner look alot more rundown. I wld lose the lights inside which make it look homely and warm, and id remove the truck. But a nice image none the less ===== From novotek@web.de: it must be very cold out there... ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: I was goint to as "where is the road", but then I read the image's title. I guess your wires should be thinner, shouldn't they? ===== From dapigg2000@yahoo.com: Good ideas. Very very neat. I think this will be a winner by everyone else's standards ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: Good interpretation. Your snowy area with just one car really shows loneliness. Technically, I'm surprised to see that something as costly (hmmm) as Maya doesn't feature lights fading ;-) ===== From rclee@oklahoma.net: I like the glow around the signs. Snow on ground could use some work. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: Very solid. Excellent economy of means. The snow flakes 'feel' right if no= t looking accurate. A nice interpretation of the topic. =20 ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: I like everything about the image except for the tilted camera angle = which suggests dynamic action rather than solitude. Oh, and also the = sharp shadows cast by the lighting. And the pathetic excuse for a = truck. Ok, so I hate this image. Just kidding! It really is one of my = favorites. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The snowstorm really adds to the sense of isolation and loneliness - it gives the idea of being snowed in. The objects you have modelled all look fairly realistic. The one thing that I perceive as "missing" in the scene is an accumulation of snow on the roof, signs and power lines. ===== From patrick@sypa.net: Hi ! It's like a snow storm there, but there is no snow on the diner or on the electric cables ! ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: This brings back memories for me. Unfortunately, bad memories of being stuck in Kansas overnight, but I won't hold that against you. I like the modelling on the diner, and the neon signs look good. The texture lines on the snowy ground work well to draw the eye into the scene, but at the same time seems unrealistic compared to the rest of the scene. I like the camera angle. ===== From jl@artcom-gmbh.de: Nice lighting and snow effects. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Idea has potential. Snow, both falling and on the ground, is not very convincing. Neon is okay. There is no snow on the wires or other artifacts.
