===== From henry@unforgettable.com: the modelling of the bar is superb, but i think some of the textures need a little work ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: Because of the superb effect of the entire picture and the way the theme is worked out, minor issues like the fact that the wall is completely straight and without blemish don't bother me as much. Good picture. ===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: Displaced isosurfaces make excellent brick walls. ===== From : Nice enterpretation of theme. You may want to prevent the garbage can outside from looking too plastic. Also be carefull of the brick textures, they tend to show too much repetition. And one last note, some better lighting outside would also help. Keep up the good work. ===== From dapigg2000@yahoo.com: Good ideas. Very good. Nice implimentation too. (BTW: It's spelled as `ancestors') ===== From suso@suso.org: Great job at modeling. Using better textures and lighting could definately have given you an oppurtunity to be in the top 5 for this round. Perhaps if you would use a diminishing light outside instead of something so bright. Usually people go to bars in the evening (except maybe not in Ireland). ===== From rclee@oklahoma.net: The bit map in the second story could have been better but I like the concept. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Lots of good detail here. The architecture looks authentic and the bar = is realistic. Some of the colors are too saturated. Well, actually, most of them are. = Sublety is the key. Trashcan thickness and its interior color needs work. The bartender and all the standing partiers seem to be staring straight = ahead, stiff-necked. I don't like the girl in the window above -- that looks completely fake = and distracting. Good work, but it misses the mark on "lonliness" to me. Instead it's = rather lively. With a slight shift in focus, this image could have shown = a wonderful contrast between "togetherness" of the pople inside the bar, = and the lonliness of the one person outside. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: The colors of the pub seem overly vivid. It took me a while to notice the side characters (who depict loneliness). The scene lacks some realism elemets... lines are too straight, bricks too perfect, etc. Very good detail in the bar. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The look fairly nice. A possible improvement to your macro could be to randomize the colour of the bricks. I find the picture of the girl in the window somewhat out of place given the lack of any objects in the room and the fact that it's black and white. This is especially true since the rest of the scene is much more detailed than the window. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Nice scene overall here... I especially like the panels at the bottom of the bar windows... nice touch. Textures could use some work... some seem a bit grainy (the green trim above the bar, and the reddish wood). Colors work well to divide the bar into two distinct sections. ===== From clem@dhol.org: I really like the multiple forms of loneliness idea. They are integrated well. The clever pub design that architecture that allows an effective cutaway view is good too.
