===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: Great concept for an image, and a really good result. I'm actually watching a documentary about the WTC attacks as I type this, which is a wierd coincedence but makes this image even more poignant. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: The plants, grass, fences, and ferns are amazing, I was quite impressed. It is only unfortunate that all the tombstones have this new shine over them: maybe some could've been a bit deteriorated (which might add to the sense of loneliness). ===== From ojamies@cs.helsinki.fi: Ouch, this entry hurts. ===== From dapigg2000@yahoo.com: Very lavish. ===== From tim.nikias@gmx.de: Not bad, lighting could need some improvement, more and darker shadows perhaps. ===== From rclee@oklahoma.net: I liked the plants, text on stones doesn't look quite right. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: I like the variety of the vegetation and the sense of atmosphere and space ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: It took me a while to appreciate the amount of effort you put into this = image. Good work. The theme leaves me emotionally uninvolved, however. Note goodbye.jpg = in this competition: less content but much more drama. ===== From scandia3815@yahoo.com: Nicely done! Notable for modeling and composition. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The grass and other vegetation in the scene look very good. Some of them do have a somewhat artificial look, but the overall level of realism is excellent. One thing that hits me as something that would enhance the loneliness of "baby doe" would be to have flowers left at the other graves by relatives, but none in "centre stage," as you called it. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: I think having several gravestones, with one separate from the rest, develops the concept of loneliness better than the other graveyard scenes this round. I do think, however, that a moodier atmosphere would work even better. I like the modelling on the tombstones, and the grass looks good, as do the trees and other plants. The wall and fence could use a bit of work, I think... to me they stand out as looking less real than the other objects in the scene. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Good idea. Nice image. I like the trees and the background gravestones. Sadly, I doubt that a Baby Doe would get such a nice plot and marker.
