===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: Maybe the size was necessary, I don't know, but for me it doesn't work without additional details elsewhere. ===== From awilcox@dreampeach.com: I think you could achieve the same effect, but bring the ship into closer view, to add interest to the image. ===== From novotek@web.de: great one - looks very nice (do you know "g-police" from psygnosis ?) ===== From p.olice@free.fr: SUPERB lighting ===== From dapigg2000@yahoo.com: Well... it's a big image anyway. Not too much detail. Kinda flashy looking. Eerie. ===== From steev@hot.pl: It remembers me first scene of 'Alien'... :) I like it. ===== From rclee@oklahoma.net: Very nice glow on the planet cast against the darkness of space. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: I think you achieved your aims quite well. "Rocket Man" comes to mind. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Very well done concept and image. One of the few images where the = actual size in pixels is key to conveying the message. I especially = like the symbolic way the shape of the ship mimics the crescent of its = home planet. Excellent lighting and atmosphere. One of my favorites = overall. I have a feeling that this image will get marked down for it's = "simplicity" as people overlook the care you used in getting the details = just so. Shame. ===== From jamesrskemp@eml.cc: I agree that the largeness of the image is necessary... Really really nice :) ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The glow on the planet is a nice effect. I find that the lighting on the ship doesn't really fit with the lighting of the rest of the scene. I get the feeling that the ship is in the planet's shadow, but then it's really hard to tell as there isn't any way of telling the distance between the ship and planet. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Very striking image... would work well as a desktop wallpaper. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Good image. Gets the point across. I find the limb of the planet to be a bit too overexposed. the ship needs to be a bit closer to the camera.
