===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: Very nice simple image. All the elements of it are detailed and realistic. ===== From cherii@att.net: Love the lighting and composition in this one. Very nice! ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: Great expression of the topic. ===== From dapigg2000@yahoo.com: Good model. Strangely lonely, eerie. I'm a good boat critic. I like it. Very good. ===== From cfusner@enter.net: The texturing and the atmosphere in this scene is excellent. The decision to leave out the man was a good call. The piece is much more expressive this way. ===== From rclee@oklahoma.net: Nice model. The loon is almost lost in the fog. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: I love the story of how this image was developed! Too bad you didn't = add the man. There is absolutely no way I would find the loon in this picture unless = you told me it was there. The fog and sea surface are superb. The interior of the boat seems too = white, as if the fog is accumulating there. The empty boat also seems = to be floating too low in the water. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: This simple image really worked for me... I got a strong sense of meaning from it. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: Well, this image sure went through a lot changes along the way, and I feel the end result is a good one. I agree that the addition of a person wouldn't be a good idea, as with the current view, the person would occupy too prominent a position in the image. As it is, the user can be left to wonder what happen to the occupant of the boat. The fog and water work well to create an isolated environment, and the loon helps to bring more emotion to the image through the presence of a living creature. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Amazing how such a simple image can evoke the feeling of loneliness. Boat is very nice. Fog works well, but leaves a rather distinct line across the upper portion of the scene. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Way too foggy and washed out. Not enough detail to convey any emotion. ===== From file: Notable for originality
