===== From darwallace@earthlink.net: I've seen several "separation by type" and many "desolate environment" images. Combining the two ideas works well. ===== From rgow@calweb.com: Has a nice mood. ===== From awilcox@dreampeach.com: I'd believe you if you told me this place actually existed. Great job. ===== From novotek@web.de: this looks great ! my first though was "archipelagos" or "the sentinel" (psygnosis, PS1) - for those of you who know what i mean. great view - very deep - that's what i call a "still image". very good interpretation of theme. should be a poster... ===== From helene.dumur@free.fr: A very good picture. Have you ever been on March ? I think so... no ? ===== From tim.nikias@gmx.de: This looks great, smooth and warm, almost painted... ===== From rclee@oklahoma.net: I like this image a lot. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: I really like the serenity of this image. "The Sentinal" is a perfect = title. Not really a "lonely" scene, but one of my favorites = nonetheless. Perfect composition, pallette, harmony. High artistic = marks. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: The scene reminds me of "Pitch Dark" (the movie), a little. Nice coloring and composition, though there isn't much to latch onto. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The detail of figure is excellent. The rocks look surprisingly good for something so simply constructed. The atmosphere and media effects look very nice, although there seems to be an artifact (the white dot) near where the glow around the larger planet fades out. On thing I feel would make the scene look better is to make the ground less smooth. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Striking image... the gradual darkening of the sky works well to highlight the 'figure'. ===== From jl@artcom-gmbh.de: Very good landscape, the sentinel however, well, we don't know how aliens look like after all. :) ===== From clem@dhol.org: Interesting provenance of this idea. good lokong. I like the sky. Rocks are a bit too unnatural looking. Overall I like it, but as much fun as sci fi is, I think that sci fi themes tend to reduce emotional impact with a topic like this.
