JPGFILE: confined.jpg ZIPFILE: confined.zip RENDERER USED: ZBrush 1.51 TOOLS USED: ZBrush 1.23b, ZBrush 1.51, Muvlo's Snap To Grid Script, My Own Multi-Marker Script RENDER TIME: Approx. 12 minutes HARDWARE USED: Athlon 1.33 Gigahertz, 256 megs of ram, Win98SE IMAGE DESCRIPTION: A solitary figure trapped in a room with no exit looks out on the city below wishing he could be out there among the rest of the population. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: A while back I had asked on the IRTC mailing list if it would be okay to submit a ZBrush image. They said it should be fine as long as I stuck with ZBrush's 3D tools and stayed away from the 2D ones since ZBrush uses a ZBuffer renderer. I used a snap-to-grid script created by Muvlo of ZBrushCentral to aid in the construction of the pipes. The pipes were multi-marker objects converted into polymesh objects. I used my own multi-marker script which was made to construct symmetrical objects to build the chair. The cloaked figure was done using the new ZSphere tool which became available in ZBrush 1.51 which is sort of a type of boning/modelling system. The glow material was used for the windows on the buildings. The global perspective feature was used which is done by pressing "shift" while at the same time pressing the "persp" button in the draw pallette for each 3d object placed on the screen. Fog and depth-of-field were used. I enclosed the source file, but it would only be of use to anyone that has ZBrush 1.51.
