  The flowers are good.  I was going to give praise on the great model, however since she was pre-made in poser I cant give you too much credit on that :P
  One thing that is quite off in this work is that the left arm looks almost like it is deformed or broken to me.  Poser often can have it's limits.

having never read the book it seems to me to be a woman sitting down looking sad, and emotion which could have been brought on by many things not just loneliness, the themes you mentioned didn't come through strongly enough in the picture. use of gray scale was well done.

Not as impressive as I thought it would be. Bummer. The face is lacking a face. It's not a real `face' as it were. More could have been done. I know the topic is `lonliness' but ... just doesn't look right. You've got a good neck going for you and a skin with no texture. Maybe the b&w hides that a little, but it's still obvious to others. The cloth is nice. Good effort.

While the face is not fully realistic, it has a subtle artistic quality to 
it (almost Cubist, with the lines/angles of the face), and has a depth

Excellent work creating bust!  Although it has some 
minor defects which are noticable (notably the knuckles 
and wrist, which seem somewhat forced and rigid), it is 
outstanding considering it was made from scratch.  I like 
the use of the solid grey background as it adds to the 
sense of isolation.

Nice work on the figure, although the face looks a bit 
pinched and there seem to be some problems with the 
arm on the left (especially where it joins at the wrist).  
The starkness of the scene works well to develop the 
concept.

Great idea.  The grayscale helps the feeling.  As ti the 
figure, the body and legs are good. The hair is very good.  
The arms don't seem to be proportioned right, especially 
the right one.  The way the sleeves fold is a little too stiff 
too.  Almost cyborgy.  The facial expression is great.  The 
face is excellent from the nose up, especially the 
wonderful eyes, but the ckeeks and jaw are somewhat 
rectilinear and pinched.  Sort of like a plastic doll held too 
close to a fire and starting to shrivel a bit.
