The lamps and light patterns are interesting, but they are causing much confusion to the actual geometry, IMHO. Using area_lights will help to make it more realistic, if that is what you want.

This image is hard to read.  Almost looks like a double-exposure.  =
Overlapping images or something.  The problem, of course, is the use of =
point light sources.  Some nice area lights (the size of each white =
globe) would greatly help here, by blending the hard-edged shadows.  =
Excellent work on the queen and all the rest of the models.

My feeling is that the shadows created by the light 
fixtures are far too strong, and make the image too busy.  
This detracts from the excellent modelling of the hall.

I do and don't like this image.  The patterns on the walls 
are interesting, but they make the background look a bit 
too busy for my tastes.  (They also tend to draw my 
attention to them, taking the focus off the more 
important objects in the foreground.)  The figure looks 
good, and an excellent job of clothing her.

The chessy overlay isn't really effective.  Should have 
focussed more on the queen.  The queen's props are well 
done.
