JPGFILE: pwcrayon.jpg ZIPFILE: pwcrayon.zip RENDERER USED: povray 3.5 TOOLS USED: GIMP RENDER TIME: 3 minutes 52 seconds HARDWARE USED: 1.2Ghz Athlon IMAGE DESCRIPTION: When there's only one crayon left in the box, what is it? It's blue. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Libby Paletz, who used to be my girlfriend but is now my fiance, did my art direction on this one. She had the idea and helped me with the look of everything as I attempted to model it. This whole scene is CSG. The tabletop is a simple plane and the box is just a collection of boxes and cylinders. The printed paper on the outside of the box is actually a separate object from the cardboard inside. The texture on the outside is just a simple image map that I drew by hand in GIMP. If you look closely at the cardboard you'll see that it actually has a texture to it and isn't a flat brown. I'm pretty proud of the school-desktop-fake-wood texture that I came up with. If you'd like to see the source for it, write to me. Special thanks to the wonderful people at Crayola for making my childhood so colorful.
