===== From rgow@lanset.com: Nice lighting. Terragen is getting better. ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: This is by far my favourite image this round. It looks perfect. Absolutely perfect. Shadows, water, rays of light, textures, heightfield, sky, and everything is stunning! ===== From shay@simcoparts.com: Beautiful. The subtle lighting effects add a lot. The water is very attractive. ===== From chris@ugan.com: Very nice image and great lighting but it seems incomplete to me. The rock texture which is used over the complete image makes it looks stale and not finished. It would have been a real contender if you used some other objects to make the image more interesting like trees or catus and maybe some rocks or boulders. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: I'm glad you entered... It's magnificent. I especially like the way you can see the rocks through the water. ===== From rich@brickbots.com: Wow... One of the best I have seen. ===== From awesomeamazingaaron@yahoo.com: WOW! This one made my heart sing! The vibrant life hidden in the dry desert! ===== From juanjcampos32@hotmail.com: Very interesting landscape. The lighting of the image gives it that dreamlike quality. ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: Incredible image! I hope you win. ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: Very cool work. Usualy I get repulsed at yet anther terragen job, but this one deserves some good credit! I see some compression artifacts again, though this is not any fault due to the quality of the work. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: Certainly one of the better Terragen scenes here. The atmospheric effects are indeed fantastic. ===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: its amazing the awesom effects that u can create with terragin and u do it very well ===== From martin@simaltech.com: Very nice texture work. ===== From 25ct@lineone.net: Beautiful! I love the water, it's the right colour. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: You have achieved a real sense of grandeur in this scene. The sense of scale from near to far is very effective. The atmosphere and light effects add a level of drama while the details stand up to close examination. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Very nice atmosphere, lighting and colors but the terrain is more than a bit exaggerated in height. The tops of the mountains just don't look right. Stretching a terrain model in height might seem more spectacular but it usually gives a very different sense of scale so the detailed relief features no more fit the large scale proportions. On the right the rectangular artefacts from the terrain model are quite visible. The water looks very nice but the underwater structures seem too strongly visible. ===== From clem@dhol.org: The sun rays and cloud shadow are very good. I like the igly green water in this context. The ground texture looks too much like adobe or stippled paint. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The terrain look very realistic, and works well with the slightly majestic mood that the lighting creates. The water is done very nicely. Excellent work! ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: I really like the way certain objects are just visible under the surface = of the water. ===== From irtc_mail@yahoo.co.uk: Realistic but lacks focal point ===== From hgregory3a@aol.com: sigh, drool, thud (the judge fainted)- WOW! Tres Tres Tres Bien!!!!! ===== From r@168-215-245-100.gen.twtelecom.net: not bad for a Terragen image but the rock texture is way over-used and there is just not enough to keep my interest Notable for lighting, modelling ===== From r@proxy.informatik.tu-muenchen.de: I didn't know, what fantastic landscapes one can create with terragen. Great work ! Notable for lighting, composition
