===== From rgow@lanset.com: Simple but elegant. Sky could be more lively. ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: Very nice textures and lighting. Though the rock on the far right looks impossibly well balanced, and that kind of spoils the realism. ===== From shay@simcoparts.com: The colors look very good. For some reason, the scene looks miniature to me, however. This scene needs a little more work on shape. Some small plants in other parts of the scene or a small spring might make the tree look less out of place. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: Your description makes it sound so easy... ===== From rich@brickbots.com: This is fantastic. I generally try for photorealism in my renderings, and I can understand the effort that went into this. The rocks are top notch, and the lighting is soft and diffuse. My only suggestion would be to add more detail of one sort or another to the sand dune.. some waves/patterns of moving sand perhaps. ===== From awesomeamazingaaron@yahoo.com: Spectacular except for the foreground. The sand and pebbles are unrealistic. ===== From juanjcampos32@hotmail.com: The presentation is reminiscent of a paint by numbers and is outperformed by the mapping and textures of the landscape. ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: I like this one quite much. Nice tone of color, and some nice details. Over all warm touch. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: I'll have to take your word for it regarding the shape of the rocks, but they and the overall color of the rock and ground look a bit too regular and over saturated. Of course sand dunes are supposed to regular, but I would expect more variation in the rock. ===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: like the grass and the bolders but it just doesn't strke me as a spectacular landscape. The tree needs work. ===== From martin@simaltech.com: Good work with the fill light positioning/intensity/whatver - I had assumed that you had used radiosity! ===== From jschmi@optonline.net: I love the grass blades on the ground - so realisitic! ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Nice. Maybe the ground could be a bit less flat and i would place the tree less directly in the middle. ===== From clem@dhol.org: The sand needs a bit more texture, but otherwise well done. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The texture and shape of the larger rocks look quite realistic. Some of the smaller rocks looks somewhat artificial. The ground also seems too hard/solid for there to be grass and trees growing out of it. I'm not sure how you would be able to give the ground a softer feel, but I think part of what gives the idea of solid rock is how the large rocks sit on the ground. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: I like the plants and little rocks scattered across the ground. ===== From r@168-215-245-100.gen.twtelecom.net: Nice looking image but it just doesn't seem complete to me.... ===== From r@proxy.informatik.tu-muenchen.de: Colors and lighting is perfect. I like the simplicity of the scene. Notable for composition, modelling, lighting
