===== From rgow@lanset.com: Good composition. Nice textures, and good job matching colors and shadows to background. ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: The image has a kind of hand painted feel to it, which is nice. Nice details on the models... Though on the whole the scene seems a little unbalanced, I'm not sure if it's the lighting or the camera angle. It looks like the landscape and objects are being lit from different places: the shadows fall on the left of the lanscape, but on the right of the buildings. That really unsettles the picture. ===== From shay@simcoparts.com: There is a lot of good detail here, and the man made elements fit very nicely into the picture with the natural ones. A fill light or radiosity would help with the hard shadows. ===== From chris@ugan.com: Nice image but I wish it was more indulstrial looking with maybe some polution or some real human activity. good texture usage. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: Not on topic, but artistically a good composition. ===== From awesomeamazingaaron@yahoo.com: Amen to this image. Reminds me of the song "Big Yellow Taxi" by Joni Mitchall. ===== From llama009@hotmail.com: the subject was pretty good but the land in the background could have had some objects on it ===== From angelsdie2@aol.com: This is a great image -- I had to check the location in the description to see if it was a place in Virginia (USA) I just went to -- it looks EXACTLY like it! congratulations on a great pic! ===== From juanjcampos32@hotmail.com: A wonderful job on the terrain both in the foreground and in the distance. The grey sky mimicks a typical day at the harbour perfectly. I can almost hear the gulls as I pored over the details. The depiction of the loading dock in the harbour may appear inharmonious at first, but the docks orderly arrangement and absence of industrial pollutants suggests a suttle harmony. This is how a dockworker of several generations may romantacise his craft. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: Bryce and POV together. That's a first. (At least for me). I wouldn't have guessed as you matched your camera settings between apps very well. ===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: i really loved the sky ===== From SRJeff@vbbn.com: Very good image. The water looks very realistic, as does the industrial center; very good blending and realism in general. However, the bushes at the bottom of the image look a bit out of place and superfluous; if you're going to have them in, add a few more leaves and make them a little bit more varied. Otherwise, good show. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: A good idea for the topic. Needs more realism. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Good work on the industrial area, colors of the whole image look good too. The water structure seems too large scale and the trees are of course somewhat abstract. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Pretty well done although the yard needs to be grittier and dirtier. The boxes are much too clean and shiny. The foreground bush steals the show and, unfortunately, sets up a level of realism clash with the industrial area. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The clouds/sky look very good. I can't really say what it is, but the water in the foreground doesn't seem realistic. Maybe this is because I find it too reflective. Excellent detail modelling the harbour. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Some good textures and mechanical details. I think the nearby bushes = hurt more than they help, because they are unrealistic (too straight = branches). ===== From hgregory3a@aol.com: nice marriage of bryce and moray. we will have try it ourselves some time. high scores, we like it! ===== From r@168-215-245-100.gen.twtelecom.net: Great looking image but for what tis image is suppose to represent it'snot industrial enough... more detail would have been nice Notable for lighting, modelling, textures
