There is a lot here to look at. Some parts of this image are very attractive,
but the scene as a whole looks a little bit chaotic because the individual
elements do not contribute well to any larger shapes. A more defined foreground
and background would calm the image down a lot.

Beautiful.  Your description of actually diving in the kelp gives your image 
great credibility.   Your back lighting to silhouette the closer plants works 
well.  The kelp looks very realistic to me.

Nice atmosphere and composition, the objects in the foreground lack realistic
shadowing and therefore look somewhat flat.  Volumetric light effects in the
water would have improved the appearance IMO.

Great underwater scene.  Good attention to detail.  
Artistically, the red anemone's contrast with the prevailing 
color scheme sets it off nicely.  The off center location 
helps too.  Is the water really that clear?  I would ave 
expected some silt.

The level of detail in this scene is excellent!  The 
lighting is also done very well.  I've never experienced 
such a place in real life myself, so I can't be sure what 
looks right and what doesn't, but the textures on the Bat 
Ray and the kelp in the foreground seem rather plain.
