This is a great image, I like the color balance and the 
concept.  My main suggestion would be to lower the 
camera, to help provide a better feel for how large the 
tree is.

Points for originality, but the grass is too transparent and glows unnaturally,
contradicting your stated intent of increased realism. Maybe you had the
ambient too high in the grass finish statement.

Interesting idea, but quite close to the "fantasy" 
borderline.  The tree shape is ok, but the bark is in dire 
need of detail.  The overall fogginess detracts.

The grass works very well to give the scene a magical 
feel.  I like the colour scheme for this image, and how 
the "human" elements contrast sharply with the natural 
elements.  The only part of the scene I feel need 
improvement is the sky - the lighter spots don't really 
give the impression of clouds.
