===== From rgow@lanset.com: Very nice! One of the best CG waterfalls I've seen!. The spray is nice. ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: Excellent. All it needs is a rainbow in the spray! :) ===== From shay@simcoparts.com: Excellent. The technique used for the water isn't perfect, but gives a nice effect for the render time. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: Finally a place that I actually have seen... The Canadian side has a few more buildings, but I don't mind them not being in the picture. The Niagara Falls is a daring subject, and it came out reasonably well. ===== From awesomeamazingaaron@yahoo.com: Liked it. The boat could use a wake behind it to add realism. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: I'm going to remember that environent mapping trick. It came out quite well. I also like the blend pattern you put on the lagoon surface. I'm less thrilled with the blob spray. I thik the particles should have started lower and been smaller. I also wish you had made a bigger version of this. ===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: very good picture ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Nice picture, fairly well made waterfalls considering this is a really difficult thing to model. The reflection technique sounds interesting although it is not a real replacement for true reflections and refraction - the trained eye can easily recognize it is not really correct this way. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Very good Niagara. Nice job on the foam. The irregular edge of the near falls is an important detail. ===== From ive@lilysoft.com: Sorry, my first thought when looking at the image was "Marilyn Monroe" - you know the movie? Anyway, great work. -Ive ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: Definitely one of the best ray-traced waterfalls I've ever seen! The falls look excellent in the background of the image, but I find the water particles in the spray close to the camera too spread out. They seem to break out too randomly, rather than staying in "dominant" downward flows. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Interesting use of height field to create the boat. Good techniques all = around, including the clever environment-mapping usage. Nice viewpoint. = My only complaint? The image should be rendered larger. ===== From r@168-215-245-100.gen.twtelecom.net: Nice water Notable for lighting, modelling
