===== From rgow@lanset.com: Nice sky & terrain! Would like to see more color in ground texture, and maybe more detail in foregound. I'm going to have to check world machine out... ===== From shay@simcoparts.com: The layout of this picture is very pleasing to me. I really like the way that the shape of the horizon is repeated in the sky. The difference in brightness between the sky and the ground is perfect. ===== From jguthkelch@netscape.net: Looks like the road leading to Glencoe (Scotland). ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: A decent entry, which could've been made more spectacular with either different colours of green, or a "bumpier" grass landscape. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: The snow texture is great, although I'm thinking it's a great fur. I can see you've put a lot of work into this though. Have you noticed the road turns 80+ degrees sideways at it's far end? The purpose of the drive must be survival, since the car would surely tumble into the valley below trying to make that last turn. :) ===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: very nice picture, i liked your tools i think all of them leave you with a lot of control as to how your final work will turn out. i kinda wish you'd modeled the car yourself. ===== From Sardook@telocity.com: It may just be me, but the shadow next to the road kind of makes it look like it is floating above the ground. ===== From martin@simaltech.com: Very nice sky and distant mountain range! The foreground texture is a bit plain. The road appears to float a bit in places. ===== From : Good work with the renderer you used. I think your careful notes on your project will come in handy in the future. ===== From SRJeff@vbbn.com: Nice sky. The lower left tree looks skewed; try adding a few more straight trees to add some interest. The mountains looked nice, but other than that it was just a blanket of green. Finally, jack up the anti-aliasing, you can see it in the road at the bottom. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: This scene has some very realistic elements. I like the way the road is used to connect the foreground with the distance. The crags look good. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Nice scene but the interesting parts (the road, the car, the trees) are that far away that they are difficult to see. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Well done but bleak. With a brighter day and maybe some sheep or whatever, it would be a postcard scene. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The terrain looks very good, although the fields in the foreground have more of a flat than grassy look. The snow on top of the mountain is done very well. ===== From irtc_mail@yahoo.co.uk: This is one of the few images in this round that manages to create the sense of a sweeping landscape. There is a symmetry created by the two peaks which seems to throw off the composition. Cropping a bit off the left of the image so the car ends up in the left hand corner 'looking' at the white peak would solve this for me. I don't think it needs any trees. The grass in the forground seems too even and too bright green. The elevated road looks strange: better if it was flat on the ground.
