===== From rgow@lanset.com: Nice! The water looks a little pixelated. ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: The shadows look a bit strange, particularly on the right hand side of the picture. Maybe they're too sharp? There's also a few lumps and bumps that look like errors in the modelling. ===== From shay@simcoparts.com: Interesting low camera position. This reminds me of a scene from a game. ===== From chris@ugan.com: Nice modeling and lighting ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: I like the lines on the rocks and the concept of an arch like this. The rocks in the distance could use a little bit more work. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: I like the view you've chosen for this scene. My only complaint would be the texturing on the far canyon wall seems out of place with the rest of scene, mainly because it looks like you forgot to texture it, or didn't give the texture as much detail as everything else. ===== From charliemc@prodigy.net: really nice sort of begs for plant life of some kind though ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: A fairly realistic scene. I think such landscape anomalies do count as spectacular. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Interesting idea and nice to see a somewhat different terrain shape and point of view than in most other scenes. Critique: The terrain shape lacks the fine structure one would expect and there are various visible mesh artefacts. The reflections in the water look quite jaggy. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Very good water. I am impressed by the eroded look of the rock. Could maybe use a bit of vagrant vegetation around the water. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: Excellent work modelling and texturing the canyon walls. The far wall looks somewhat out of place as it is "faded." If this is an effect of the fog you mentioned, I would recommend either making it more obvious that there is fog, or taking the fog out altogether. Placing rocks of various sizes throughout the scene helps to create a more realistic environment - good work. I also find the water a little too reflective to be realistic. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: I normally like wide aspect ratio images, but I think it is taken to an = extreme here. The arch approaches so close to the top of the image, = that the image feels "cut off". Really nice features. Yes, it is spectacular. I wish there was = something in the scene to add a better sense of scale: I could imagine = this arch to be anywhere from 12 to 140 feet tall. ===== From irtc_mail@yahoo.co.uk: Realistic but there are a few triangular dents on the bridge ===== From hgregory3a@aol.com: Near perfect scores, the different texture on your distant background mountain wall as seen through the arch is slightly detracting. ===== From r@168-215-245-100.gen.twtelecom.net: Very nice textures and modeling on this one Notable for textures, modelling
