DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 


I used:
Terragen to create the terrain;
Forester to make the scenes (terrain-textures, plants, fog, lighting, shot,
etc.);
3DWin to convert the boat-3ds files to directx files;
ObjectConverter to import the Dx files into the Forester.
The boats are free collection objects.
I exported the script of Forester, then before the rendering i made some
settings of the water
(fresnel, dispersion, etc.).
Antialiasing Method 2, Threshold 0.2, Depth 2, Jitter 0.9.
No Radiosity, only sunlight, ambientlights and media.
