Almost a photo-real image, but the background blurring looks too grainy for my
tastes.  Good interpretation of theme.  Some motion blur would of been a bonus

and caustics are CPU-intensive, but 1,5 days still seems excessive for one

Very nice cracked cup and frozen splash.  The blurred 
background distracts me more than a sharp one would 
have.  I don't like it.  You might have gotten more drama by 
showing the coffee splashing off the floor a split second 
later.

Excellent image, though a few drops would probably have hit the floor by the
time the cup cracked. The focal blur is a little grainy and sudden, almost 
as if there_s a frosted glass wall a few inches beyond the cup. The liquid 
and floor look great. The global illumination is nice but it leaves the cup 
floating over the floor a bit. I_m picking nits, though; the overall image
is great and I_m looking forward to seeing more of your work.

The idea is fine and the composition of the picture is well done.  But the way
