===== From rgow@lanset.com: Good idea. Bit too dark. ===== From ggargett@attbi.com: I love those video shows where they show skateboarders biting it! Never fail to laugh. The pic is a little dark. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: The picture is a bit dark and the contrast seems to be missing, but there is a lot of detail and it is a very nicely chosen moment. Rather similar to my entry, though a lot better executed. ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: Interresting scene, but at first I thought the boy was executing a kick-flip over the steps. To a person who has skated before, this image doesn't look like an accident about to happen at all :P ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: I think it is a good idea to adjust the gamma value to typical displays on which the image will be viewed. Very few judges have calibrated monitors, and not all of them will adjust the gamma of the display program for a too-dark image. ===== From david.madore@ens.fr: The idea is very good, and the scene is quite funny. Esthetically, however, it is a bit unfortunate that it is too dark. ===== From llama009@hotmail.com: great, brilliant...the background could have been made a bit lighter though ===== From clem@dhol.org: Ah the joys of road rash. Nicely kinetic. I really had to tweak contrast to get any detail. The fountain, assuming that it is the green thing in the background doesnt really work. Tweaked or not, the impression I get isn't frozen water. It is something like "Picasso sculpture being abducted by aliens." ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: Excellent job capturing the "shock" of the moment. The detail in the environment is very good. One thing I feel could be improved is the water - it seems to me that there isn't enough spray (the water seems more clumped together and viscous than flowing). ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: It seems a little dark. That's to be expected I suppose, but it is hard to make out some of the details. ===== From slone@hiwaay.net: Fun image and a good interpretation of the theme. The lighting seems a little washed out. Excellent pose on the Poser figure. ===== From noe.falzon@tiscali.fr: The shapes and colors of objects are funny, and I love the idea (especially the board on the right). ===== From r@jerkweed.kiva.net: I think this image would have been more successful if you would have put the scene in the daytime. I didn't understand what the green sphere was until I read the txt file. ===== From r@cntr37979s.dmps.k12.ia.us: Good idea. I like the sign gag. I would like the skater's clothes to be "in motion" with him, and skin texture. Notable for originality, modelling, composition ===== From r@cntr37979s.dmps.k12.ia.us: Good idea. I like the sign gag.
