===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: This image confused me when I first looked at it, because I couldn't see what that grid thing was meant to be. I eventually realised it was a camouflage net (which I guess means it was quite effective!). It's really good image, and has a nice artificial air brushed feel, like it's not a photo but a painting. ===== From rgow@lanset.com: Hmmm, interesting... but there are too many things going on here for me to discern any "moment" ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: I like how the tones tend to match all around in this image. However, one thing that is very lackin in this work is proper shadows. I think other viewers would also find it harder to look at this image as a 'frozen moment'. It looks as though there is too much action going on. ===== From N6re@mminternet.com: What! No smoke? Very busy scene indeed! ===== From jonathan@scudder.no: Nice use of colour. The "crap" you refer to in you text file is essential for judges to be able to understand how much technical effort is put into the image, and whether (and how much) of it is your work. Also a great learning element, so don't knock it ;-) ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Quite a convoncing composition. But I think you mixed aircraft from WW I with others from WW II. The water tower (or whatever) looks a bit too shiny. I always read the text carefully to aid in voting. Thanks for taking the time to write it! ===== From david.madore@ens.fr: Nice title, and fairly striking image. ===== From clem@dhol.org: I like the dynamic feel and the coppery tone of the image. I think that the title and the obtrusive signature draw attention away from the image proper and damage the overall impression. The image is nicely composed aside from that and the modelling is quite good. Strange mix of tech levels in this war.... The surprising survival of the water tower in this hot battle is a striking detail. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: Nice composition and choice of colours. The explosion effects look very good. Some variations/imperfections in the helix wire would make it look more realistic. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: Having the title 'in' the picture really detracts from an otherwise nice piece. I especially like the sepia toning.
