===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: The lighting seems very artificial. It looks like there's no radiosity, but you say you've used low radiosity, so maybe your objects have ambient > 0? I like all the details in the scene, particularly the ice cubes. ===== From rgow@lanset.com: Good modeling, and good first entry! More contrast & shadows would be good. ===== From ggargett@attbi.com: The sink looks like it's inverted. Everything is so "silvery". More varied textures would be better. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: This is one shiny sink. Despite my magic cloth, I never managed to get it this shiny, not even after I just bought it. The "frozenness" of the image might have worked better if the drop was not hanging from the tap (which could be indefinate) but actually falling down, or splashing in the sink. Other than that, I'm impressed by the ice in the glass. ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: I've never seen a kitchen sink tap quite like that :P The icecubes you've made look the most realistic from all the ones i've seen so far in this contest. Caustics seem to go quite a ways to add in realism. ===== From sammyf@wanadoo.fr: Nice picture. Try adding more dirt and stuff on your objects and reduce the reflectivity a bit. There are no 100% reflective-non dirty objects in real life. ===== From patrick@sypa.net: A little bit too clean, for my taste ===== From N6re@mminternet.com: Super clean kitchen scene! Nice lighting... common theme interp.. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Everything looks extremely flat. Remember that real-life objects are never perfect mirrors, but have an unreflective component. And also have little dents, scratches, stains, etc ... ===== From david.madore@ens.fr: Except for the brush, pretty much everything in the scene looks just too "fake". The shininess everywhere makes things hard to visualize. The point (or the relation to the theme) is also slightly unclear. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Another case of too much background, not enough topic. The sink area looks very stylish. The apples are waxlike. The drip is a bit too square. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: Nice work with the textures in the scene. The shape of the apple look very realistic, especially considering they were created using a fairly simple method. However, their texture could use some work, as it seems too much of one solid colour right now. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: Some of the textures look a little plain, but I like countertop texture very well. With a single drop of water you create suspense. ===== From slone@hiwaay.net: Great ice and apples. The faucet is lost in all the shiny surfaces, and the shadows seem weak, but the blurred reflections are excellent. ===== From r@jerkweed.kiva.net: I think the concept of water freezing while coming out of the faucet is good.
