===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: Technically that's 4 frozen moments, not 1. But I think it's on topic and quite unusual. It would be good with a background and more detailed textures (e.g. a transparent cockpit). ===== From rgow@lanset.com: Wow, I guess I need to see more airshows! Good concept. Image would benefit from AA. ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: It's looking like an RC sailplane to me, was I right? Nice curves on the plane but what about the elevators, rudders, spoilers, ailerons, etc? Some decaling and more texturing in this scene will go a long way. ===== From N6re@mminternet.com: Very nice subject and cleverly depicted... ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: You would achieve a much higher image quality if you - Used Anti-Aliasing (to "smooth" the ragged edges) - Used a higher quality factor when saving the image in JPEG format. ===== From david.madore@ens.fr: I'm afraid I miss the point of this image. ===== From dick@buckosoft.com: too much jaggies, especially on the glider. ===== From clem@dhol.org: A nice kinetic close view if the exact moment of the ribbon cutting would have fit the topic much better. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The ribbon is done nicely. One of the things you mention in your description is that this usually takes place near the ground, which is something that your image doesn't really convey. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: That's different. ===== From jfempire@yahoo.co.uk: You should have given this for the movies section ;-) ===== From slone@hiwaay.net: Very nice and original concept, though it_s four frozen moments rather than one. ===== From r@jerkweed.kiva.net: interesting concept. There needs to be more to the scene though. ===== From r@pool0999.cvx1-bradley.dialup.earthlink.net: 1. The ribbon (rope) is nice. It has the shape I would expect a ribbon to have just after it has been broken. 2. You should try turning on anti-aliasing. This would only require you to set one additional parameter, and it will make your images look much better. It might have added five minutes to your render time, but that is very small compared to the amount of time you spent modeling.
