I'm not sure you should expect people to adjust the monitor settings to your
particular picture. You could've made the picture lighter too, making it easier
to see what is there.

Even tweaked, most of the detail of this image is invisible 
to me.  In any case it does not really carry the described 
story.  The story itself has a very limited connection to the 
topic.  THe person and the box need to be much more 
prominent and visible.  The nearly get lost.  What is that 
single raindrop supposed to be>

Nice work on the cave.  The roof looks quite realistic.  
The shaft of light looks good, although I would expect it 
to give more illumination where it touches the box and 
ground.  This shouldn't be hard to do with a spotlight.
