===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: I was impressed by the stones in the ground. I'm glad you refrained from using blur as well. ===== From tyler@cg1.org: Modeling is nice, but it looks WAY too pristine, not at all like a 'working' cannon. Smoke / fire from the shot is rather underwhelming. ===== From arte3d@luisvaloyes.uni.cc: nice model, I specially like the smoke behind the cannonball, it would have been nice to know what software did you use to make this scene... ===== From rgow@lanset.com: More info in .txt would be good. ===== From cguillem@wanadoo.fr: frozen moment... ===== From jjaguar@worldnet.att.net: This is a good model of a cannon, but I have a few nitpicks. First of all, a real cannon produces *a lot* more smoke and flame when it fires. Also, everything is too clean. There should be more general dirt and grime. There should also be some wheel chocks to keep the carrage from rolling backwards when the gun fires. Finally, who is firing the cannon? There is no indication of what is setting it off. All in all a good start, but the scene should be flushed out a little more. ===== From slone@hiwaay.net: That's one shiny cannon! Looks good, and the cannonball smoke looks good too; this image would have been good for the Frozen Moment round as well. The middle stone in the background looks good, but the negative wall image on the left looks odd. The Wheels might have looked better with a slightly different texture from the main platform. Nice pebble/sand ground.
