===== From rgow@lanset.com: Interesting concept... I like the joystick. The blue grass is somewhat jarring. ===== From leoszilard@yahoo.com: The texture on the atari was a little rougher than I think was needed. I work with a guy that used to be a high-up at atari. Nice concept, I think the death of Atari truely brought an end to an era. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: Not sure where the link with architecture is, but it is a neat idea, and crisply executed. ===== From ncrinkrat@earthlink.net: Very interesting take on the subject ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: That's a very bizarre idea. The modelling's nice, but I'm not really sure what you're trying to say by turning it into a house. "living _in_ the past"? From a technical point of view, everything's very good except the mountains in the background which really let the whole scene down. All the foreground things have such nice details and materials, I really don't see why you have such plain and boring mountains. ===== From xilo_m@hotpop.com: Nice image, but unfortunately it seems much like the render of a blue-print and there is no action, nothing is happening in your scene, it is empty of life and therefore feels extremely artificial. And by artificial I mean that it is impossible to bring life into it... The look of the image is a bit confusing also having a focal blur might do the trick though... ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: The concept was good. I think more attention to detail (e.g. on the house) would have imporved it. If you were after the sun setting, an orange spot light at a low angle may have achieved that look. The mountains, well, needed some work for them to look more like mountains or hills. ===== From hildurka@simnet.is: This looks more like an indoor scene to me, the grass looks like a rug or carpet. Also the lighting looks more electric than twilight. I_m not sure why you want to turn your Atari into a house, except, the only reason you give in your text file is that you were already working on the scene when the topic was announced. The modelling of the Atari and the joystick is good and the textures look convincing but would have fitted better in the "Old technology" topic. ===== From dajs100@york.ac.uk: Nice idea, but the image is a bit bland, and those grainy hills in the background are horrible ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Interesting approach in reusing an old model
