The modeling is quite good on this one but the artistic merit was low.  The
building needed a context.  Your lighting looks strange because you have used
multiple lights.  On an outdoor scene if you add more than one light you have
to ensure that the affect is subtle so that it doesn't look out of place.  I
think more textures to add detail would have added much to making this  more
interesting image.

Like you say in the text this is only work in progress. There are some very good
elements to be seen though, rather complicated set of walls, arches and roofs
and lots of nice details around the windows. I imagine this could end up being
a fairly nice representation of architecture. Pity you didn_t have time to
finish it. Keep it up!
