===== From jon@vulpecula.us: Beautiful! I really like this. You did a ton of work, and it shows. I really like the contrast of color between the two main lighting sources. Great job! ===== From douge@nls.net: Nice image overall, good lighting and color. ===== From rgow@lanset.com: Very nice lighting & well modeled. Poser poses look stiff, especially Alexander. Good job though. ===== From hildurka@simnet.is: Fantastic image. Has a fantasy quality without being unrealistic. A great illustration to the story. Great work! ===== From pbrasolin@yahoo.it: Original idea for a good picture. PB ===== From ralf@treuherz.de: Very nice textures. ===== From info@michaelscholz.de: I like the way you made use of colors in your image and the effort you put in texturing. Nice work. ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: Very great work! One of the best entries I_ve seen so far. The only major fault I see is the date & logo causes a confusion. ===== From zio_tom78@hotmail.com: Very good image! The lighting is very effective, and the details are marvellous! ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The level of detail in this scene is excellent. My one complaint is something which a lot of people overlook when creating an image - the texture for the floor tiles line up perfectly from block to block. A more realistic effect could be achieved by applying textures with random translate vectors to each individual tile. ===== From intertek@one.net: I hope you continue to join us Steve in future rounds. Your image is one = of the best! I'm especially impressed with your textures. It's a = wonderful image. But Alexander doesn't meet the level of perfection of = the rest of the image. He looks stiff (He should have more twist between = his shoulders and hips). His clothing is not quite right either (he = looks like a gay jogger). He just doesn't look heroic. This guy's going = to take over most of the Western world. He needs to lead men to near = certain death. Maybe I'm making to much of it. Overall you have a = wonderful image. You should be very pleased with it - I would if it were = mine. Why is Alexander's sword drawn (out of it's sheath)? Michael ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Definitely nice lighting effects, set off by the haze. I really like = the statues and authentic-feeling details throughout the scene. Statue = figures are great, but poses of the live figures are too stiff. All the = arms are at exactly the same angle...? Alex should be either looking up = the stairs, or (more interestingly) looking back over his shoulder. = Similarly, the priestess should either be gazing skyward in rapture, or = glancing over towards the departing Alex. Instead, she seems to be = pointlessly staring over my left shoulder. The gaudy hue of the floor bothers me a little. This depicts a real historical mystery, but I'm afraid you didn't = explain it very well in your text file. Seems more Egyptian -- I thought this occurred in Greece? These are all nit-picky complaints. Overall great, great work for a = first-time entry. Hope to see more from you, Steve! ===== From file: WOW!!, Check out the pair of.. statues that that girl has. Good for her. Anyway, I wanted to see how much modeling you actually did yourself, but your description is quite long and boring so I am just going to say nice model and press the zoom button a few times. Notable for composition ===== From file: Blue and red contrast is nice. Notable for lighting
